Een eerste indicatie, of de installatie daadwerkelijk spanningsloos is, kan worden verkregen met de contactloze Wiha spanningszoeker dankzij de visuele signalering. Na het inschakelen geeft de permanent groen brandende LED aan, dat het gereedschap klaar is voor gebruik. Wanneer spanning wordt gedetecteerd, brandt de rode LED, die ook bij daglicht goed afleesbaar is. Voor gebruik zijn twee AAA batterijen nodig, die bij levering zijn inbegrepen. De spanningszoeker met clip past dankzij het handzame formaat gemakkelijk in elke borst- of broekzak. Dankzij de internationaal aangepaste meetpunt is de spanningszoeker geschikt voor alle varianten contactdozen wereldwijd.
