De type B slangadapter is ontworpen voor het aansluiten van een 38 mm zwembadslang op de plunjerklep of andere zwembaduitrusting.
De adapter veranderd de 32 mm aansluitingen van een zwembad naar 38 mm aansluitingen. Deze slangadapters zijn nodig bij het upgraden van een pompsysteem met laag debiet (maximaal 3.785 L/u) naar een groter pompsysteem (minimaal 5.678 L/u).
