Gemaakt van HDPE (hogedichtheidspolyethyleen) is het balkonscherm schimmel- en uv-bestendig. De speciale 'open' structuur van het doek laat wind door, waardoor er altijd een frisse bries op het balkon waait.
Het scherm is eenvoudig aan het balkon te bevestigen met de aluminium ogen en het meegeleverde touw.
