De draadloze instapmodel R1 WL van de VDO R-serie is een betrouwbare metgezel voor fietsers die het simpel willen houden en alleen de basisgegevens van hun ritten willen bijhouden. Met het grote cijfers en een gemakkelijk af te lezen display, is het eenvoudig om snelheid, afstand, totaal aantal kilometers, rijtijd en de klok te zien, zelfs tijdens het rijden. De functies worden aangegeven met symbolen. Het instellen en bedienen van de R1 WL is supereenvoudig door de rode menuknop. De waterdichte fietscomputer kan snel op het stuur worden gemonteerd en ter bescherming tegen diefstal eenvoudig kan worden afgenomen en opgeborgen. De geïntegreerde knoopcel (CR2032) zorgt voor ruim twee jaar stroomvoorziening.
