De Aqua Oxy vijverwaterbehandeling voor algen van Ubbink is een granulaat vijverwaterverzorgingsproduct dat je helpt bij het verwijderen van sediment uit vijvers.
Met name kunstmatig aangelegde vijvers lopen niet natuurlijk, wegens de gladde vijverwanden. Opgebouwd sediment en vervuiling (zoals bladeren, voerresten en pollen) zinken naar de bodem en vormen zo een sliblaag.
Micro-organismen die zuurstof gebruiken, breken dit sediment normaal gesproken af. Maar vaak zit er in deze sliblaag nauwelijks zuurstof en ontstaan er stoffen waardoor het water verkleurt, onaangenaam gaat ruiken en van mindere kwaliteit wordt. Aqua Oxy zinkt na het toevoegen naar de bodem, dringt door in het slib en voedt de micro-organismen die het slib afbreken.
