Francisca Laureijs is de tuincoördinator van de schooltuin van Jenaplan basisschool De Kring in Oegstgeest. Maandelijks bedacht zij een aantal leuke tuinactiviteiten voor de kinderen die moesten worden uitgevoerd. Hans Clauzing begon met fotograferen hiervan. Zo werden ze gevraagd om een aantal foto's te publiceren in het tijdschrift Groei en Bloei en ontstond het idee dit breder te trekken en dit boek samen te stellen voor ouders en kinderen. Vol inspiratie en praktische tips voor de vier seizoenen in de tuin. De 4 seizoenen zijn de 'groene' draad in het boek en bedoeld voor ouders met kinderen met tuin of balkon. Wat is er leuker dan je eigen aardappelen te poten en na goede zorg te oogsten? Te snoepen van je eigen gekweekte frambozen en bessen. En, te genieten van de recepten en leuke doe het zelf opdrachtjes. Een vrolijk, instructief en fraai geïllustreerd boek.
