Het C220 stuurklemontwerp, voor het eerst bewezen op de Ritchey Trail-stuurpen, creëert een veiligere interface door een volledige 220 graden klemming. De boutkrachten zijn uitgelijnd met de klem zodat het stuurpenlichaam het stuur 'omhelst', wat minder vatbaar is voor beschadiging van lichtgewicht staven. Dit klemontwerp zorgt voor een lichtere voorplaat en stuurpen zonder in te boeten aan sterkte of stijfheid. De Carbon Matrix stuurpenbody is gemaakt van forged 7075 aluminium met een stijfheidsbevorderend carbon exoskelet waardoor deze 12% stijver is dan de WCS Alu C220 stuurpen.
