De originele formule biedt betrouwbare lekdichting voor 2 tot 7 maanden, hoewel in droge omstandigheden regelmatige controle van het vloeistofniveau wordt aanbevolen. Anti-vries middelen maken gebruik mogelijk bij temperaturen tot -20ºF. Eén liter Stan’s Original Tire Sealant kan tot 16 banden afdichten.
