De Schwalbe Smart Sam Plus Performance band is voorzien van Double Defense techniek, met RaceGuard en SnakeSkin rond de gehele band. Hierdoor is de band extra goed beschermd tegen lekken. Deze band is geschikt voor E-bikes tot 50km/u en is perfect voor gebruik op bijvoorbeeld E-MTB's. Voor snelle E-bikes, zoals S-pedelecs met toelating en verzekering, en met trapondersteuning boven de 25km/u, is deze band speciaal goedgekeurd. Het advies is om voor deze E-bikes de E-bike banden met de in Europa geldige ECE-R75 goedkeuring te gebruiken.
