Het is de meest lekbestendige luchtband die er is. Naast de geweldige lekbescherming overtuigt hij door veel inwendige waarden: 1 - Rolweerstand. De gepatenteerde 5mm dikke SmartGuard laag heeft tegenover alle imitatieproducten een beduidend voordeel wat betreft de rolweerstand. 2 - Recycling. Ook bij SmartGuard gebruikt Schwalbe nu een aandeel aan gerecycled rubber uit oude latexproducten. 3 - 'Anti-Aging' zijwand. Dit vertraagt de typische overbelasting door een te lage bandenspanning beduidend langer voordat er scheurtjes ontstaan. 4 - E-Bike Ready. De Marathon Plus is door zijn uitstekende eigenschappen de beste keuze voor E-Bikes.
