De trotse zwarte haan kraait opgewonden als Paul de verse eieren verzamelt en ze voorzichtig in de mand legt. Het gele kuiken kijkt hem nieuwsgierig na. De mooie kip met het patroon blijft echter onverstoord rondscharrelen op zoek naar voedsel. Elke ochtend kijkt Paul uit naar de piepjesparade. Dan bezoekt hij zijn kippen om te zien of er verse eieren zijn. Zoals altijd heeft hij geluk: zijn favoriete kip met het prachtige verenkleed is weer bezig geweest en heeft eieren in haar nest achtergelaten. Paul raapt ze dankbaar op en legt ze voorzichtig in de mand zodat ze niet breken. De haan houdt hem in de gaten en let goed op wat er gebeurt. Paul moet voorzichtig zijn want het gele kuiken rent opgewonden rond tussen zijn voeten. Blijkbaar is het net zo blij met het dagelijkse bezoek als Paul. Te schattig! Afmetingen: 7 x 13 x 10 cm
