Je moet hem alleen niet storen of ergeren, want dan kan hij behoorlijk gemeen voor de dag komen. Hij haalt dan zo uit met zijn imposante stekelstaart. Je kunt deze negen meter lange prehistorische reus dus beter te vriend houden!Je herkent de stegosaurus al van ver, en niet alleen vanwege zijn omvang. Die vuurrode, gebogen en dubbele bottenmassa op zijn rug is onmiskenbaar. Het contrast met zijn gelige hagendissenhuid is een mooi gezicht. Met zijn kop naar beneden sjokt hij over de weiden. Zijn staart probeert ie omhoog te houden. Hij is vast weer aan het grazen. Dat is namelijk wat de stegosaurus de hele dag doet: deze planteneter van 4,5 ton krijgt niet zomaar zijn buikje rond.
