De Cyclon Chain Keeper is een onmisbare tool voor het schoonmaken en onderhouden van je racefiets, mountainbike of cyclocrosser. Deze mag niet ontbreken in je onderhoudsset. Vooral wanneer je de fiets in een werkstandaard plaatst en het achterwiel verwijdert, biedt de Chain Keeper veel ruimte om de ketting, derailleurwieltjes en andere moeilijk bereikbare onderdelen van de fiets schoon te maken. Tegelijkertijd houdt de Chain Keeper de ketting op spanning en voorkomt deze dat deze tegen het frame komt.
- Gebruik de Chain Keeper in combinatie met de bestaande as om je aandrijflijn optimaal schoon te maken en te onderhouden.
- Het monteren van de Chain Keeper is eenvoudig:
- Haal het achterwiel uit je fiets. Trek het bovenste derailleurwieltje naar achteren om voldoende ruimte te creëren om het wiel te verwijderen.
- Verwijder de quick release as of steekas uit het achterwiel. Schuif de Chain Keeper op de as en breng deze weer in positie, waarbij je de ketting in de uitsparing van de Chain Keeper plaatst. Tip: Bewaar een oude as en gebruik deze in combinatie met de Chain Keeper, zodat je deze niet telkens in en uit je wiel hoeft te halen tijdens het schoonmaken.
- Je hebt nu gemakkelijk toegang tot alle onderdelen van de aandrijflijn om ze goed te onderhouden en te smeren. Bovendien kunnen de pedalen vrij draaien en kun je op- en terugschakelen terwijl de Chain Keeper op zijn plek zit.
- Zet je achterwiel weer terug in je fiets. Ook hierbij dien je wat ruimte te creëren door het bovenste derailleurwieltje naar achteren te bewegen. Je fiets is nu weer klaar voor je volgende rit!
