De papieren zakken zijn waterbestendig door hun dubbele laag, dus ze kunnen flink wat vocht hebben. Ook houden ze de vervelende geurtjes binnen de bak. Je kunt ze gewoon in je eigen huis gebruiken in het GFT-prullenbakje. Is hij vol of stinkt het al? Dan gooi je het afval met de zak gewoon weg in de GFT-bak. De zakken zijn volledig biologisch afbreekbaar en mogen dus gewoon mee.
