Na 5 uur opladen in het zonlicht, kan het huisje ongeveer 5 uur verlicht worden. Ook geschikt voor kinderen. Het huisje is gemaakt van gerecycled PEFC/FSC karton en is ook weer recyclebaar. Doordat het hele pakket minder dan 50 gram weegt en plat verpakt wordt, kan het Casagami huis gemakkelijk in een envelop worden verstuurd.
