Deze Linkstar achthoekige Softbox (octabox) is gemakkelijk in elkaar te zetten en met behulp van de bajonetaansluiting van de houder, de speedring, op de flitser te plaatsen. Hierdoor zit de flitser diep in de octabox en gaat er weinig licht verloren. De octabox zorgt voor een mooie, zachte uitlichting.

Deze softboxen zijn niet geschikt voor halogeen lampen (zoals de LQ-1000 van Linkstar), vanwege de hoge warmteontwikkeling van deze lampen. Voor zulke type lampen zijn de softboxen uit de Linkstar LQA serie geschikt.
