Lamaland is een tactisch tegellegspel dat zich afspeelt in een wild en ongelooflijk mooi landschap vol met lama's. Als boer in dit berglandschap is het jouw taak om akkers aan te leggen en gewassen zoals cacao, maïs en aardappelen te telen. Om een zo groot mogelijke oogst te behalen, kun je dorpelingen aannemen die jou helpen. Met de oogst kun je lama's kopen, die punten waard zijn.
Het doel van het spel is om zoveel mogelijk lama's te verzamelen, maar let ook op de speciale doeltegels. Deze doeltegels geven je punten als je aan bepaalde voorwaarden voldoet. De speler met de meeste punten wint het spel.
Lamaland biedt veel variatie doordat de doeltegels bij elk spel anders zijn. Daarnaast zijn er speciale regels voor zowel gevorderde als beginnende spelers.
