De telefoonkabel op rol van 100 meter is geschikt om zelf telefoonkabels op maat te maken. Het snoer heeft een kern van 4 koperen draden in verschillende kleuren. Deze kleuren worden gebruikt om onderscheid te maken voor het aansluiten van de draden op de contactpunten van stekkers. Hiervoor kunt u gebruik maken van een krimptang waarmee kabelschoentjes kunnen worden vastgezet. De telefoonkabel heeft een mantel van pvc in een zwarte kleur en is plat van vorm. Stekkers die aan de kabel gemonteerd kunnen worden, nadat deze op maat geknipt is, zijn RJ11 telefoonstekkers en RJ45 netwerkstekkers. Er kan gebruik gemaakt worden van zowel male als female connectoren.
