Voor het maken van telefoonkabels kan deze Cat 5e ISDN stekker gebruikt worden. Deze stekker wordt verkocht per stuk en kan met een krimptang worden gemonteerd aan een platte Cat 5E kabel. De modulaire ISDN stekker is eenvoudig te koppelen. Zodra u de kabel op maat geknipt heeft, kunt u de mantel aan het einde van de kabel ontbloten. U plaatst vervolgens de 8 aders van de kabel in de juiste volgorde in de stekker, waarna u deze met de krimptang kunt vastklemmen. De stekker is transparant van kleur en voorzien van een trekontlasting aan de bovenkant. Daarmee kan de stekker eenvoudig vastklikken in het contact. Voor het ontkoppelen van de kabel waaraan de stekker gemonteerd is, kan de trekontlasting worden ingedrukt.
