Boven op de rand van de pot zit een opening (met dop) om het waterreservoir bij te kunnen vullen. Het systeem is gebaseerd op natuurwetten. De plant reguleert zijn eigen watervoorziening door het water wat hij nodig heeft uit de aarde te halen. Dat water wordt voorzien door de terracottapot. Artikel wordt geleverd inclusief trechter.
