Izar is mooi en talentvol. Volgens de Spaande Doña Alvarez is hij zelfs het beste paard dat ze ooit gefokt heeft. Ze heeft hem daarom in training gegeven bij een dressuurruiter, Ignacio. Doña Alvarez moet alleen maar lachen om Izars ongeduld en zijn overmaat aan energie, maar Ignacio wordt er weleens moe van. Toch doet hij er alles aan om Izar op stal te houden, omdat hij het geld dat hij voor de training krijgt, niet kan missen... Het gaat mis als er geldeisers verschijnen. Voor Izar beseft wat er gebeurt, is Ignacio verdwenen. Daar staat Izar dan, buiten in de hete Spaanse zon, te wachten tot iemand hem komt halen. Maar komt er wel iemand?
