Het verschil met de Quasar 2.0 zit in de rail, die is gemaakt van Cromoly. Quasar 2.0 Aeron om te voldoen aan de wensen van zowel wedstrijdfietsers als recreatieve rijders. De vorm van het zadel wordt gekenmerkt door een vlak zitoppervlak van 142 mm en een centrale opening, geïntegreerd in een brede uitsparing die perineale druk verlicht. Het comfortabel brede achterste steunvlak is gemodelleerd volgens anatomische en ergonomische principes – een kenmerk van alle Repente-zadels. Het Close Fit-effect, dat voortkomt uit deze specifieke vorm, maakt het zadel comfortabel zonder dikke lagen vulling en helpt rijders direct hun meest efficiënte zithouding te vinden. De schaal is gemaakt van PA12 versterkt met lange koolstofvezels (LCF-technologie). De vulling is van polyurethaan, terwijl de bekleding bestaat uit watergebaseerde antislip polyurethaan microvezel.
