Het vervangt rechtstreeks de PT-009, de split uitdrijver die deel uitmaakt van de BRT-003 24 mm BB lager gereedschapsset. Dit gereedschap is speciaal ontwikkeld om het lager van binnenuit uit te breiden en vast te grijpen, zodat het kan worden uitgeperst in de ontvanger terwijl de bottom bracket nog in de fiets is gemonteerd.
