De basecoat laat een plakkerig dispersielaagje achter. Hierop hecht de hybride gellak van Claresa extra goed en kan ook direct nageldecoratie zoals glitter poeder worden aangebracht. De Claresa Basecoat is vooral geschikt voor styling op korte nagels. Bij lange nagels of nagelverlening wordt de Basecoat Ultra aangeraden.
