De Schwalbe Marathon Original buitenband is de oervader van alle hoogwaardige tourbanden. Met een dikte van 3 mm is de GreenGuard laag gemaakt van extreem elastisch natuurlijk rubber. Deze laag is voor 1/3 vervaardigd uit gerecyclede latexproducten, waardoor het ook nog eens milieuvriendelijk is. De anti-aging zijwand zorgt ervoor dat de band langer meegaat, zelfs bij een te lage bandenspanning.
