Dit maakt de BY-F8OD juist ook geschikt voor video's of interviews waarbij de geïnterviewde beweegt. Het geluid wordt dan ook nog goed opgenomen als zijn/haar hoofd weg draait. Door zijn robuuste metalen constructie kan de BY-F8OD tegen een stootje. De BY-F8OD werkt met een AA batterij (niet meegeleverd).
