Deze beschermkap is bedoeld voor het afsluiten en beschermen van een BNC female aansluiting tegen stof, vuil en spatwater. De kap wordt op een BNC jack geplaatst en voorkomt dat de connector vervuild raakt wanneer deze niet in gebruik is. Dankzij de aanwezige afdichtring wordt de aansluiting extra beschermd tegen binnendringend vuil en vocht. De beschermkap is uitgevoerd in vernikkeld messing, wat zorgt voor een stevige constructie en goede corrosiebestendigheid. Met de bevestigingsketting en montagering kan de kap aan apparatuur of een paneel worden bevestigd zodat deze niet verloren raakt wanneer de aansluiting wordt gebruikt.
