De vaste wax maakt de huidzakjes zachter, verminderd de haargroei en vertraagd de haargroei. De Barbertime Hair Removal Wax is zeer effectief, zelfs op korte haren. De blokken zijn gemakkelijk in gebruik. Harde wax wordt ook wel filmhars genoemd. De hars wordt hard na het aanbrengen en wordt verwijderd van de huid met de vingers. Voor harde was zijn dan ook geen epilatie strips nodig. Harde wax wordt gebruikt op kleine oppervlakken van het lichaam zoals gezicht, oksels, schaamgebied, vingers en tenen, en is dus vooral geschikt voor de Brazilian Wax. Harde wax is minder pijnlijk bij het verwijderen dan zachte wax, doordat de wax alleen hecht aan het haar en niet aan de huid.
