Deze tulp naar UTP audio verloopstekker is bedoeld voor het overbrengen van analoge stereo-audiosignalen via een UTP-netwerkkabel in een point-to-point verbinding. De adapter zet ongebalanceerd stereo audio om voor transport over Cat 5e / Cat 6 bekabeling. De oplossing wordt toegepast als balun en maakt het mogelijk om audio over grote afstanden te versturen, tot 1500 meter, afhankelijk van kabeltype en toepassing. Bij gebruik in paren kan traditionele coaxbekabeling worden vervangen, wat installatie vereenvoudigt en bekabeling reduceert.
