Met de APC Network Management Card 3 AP9640 verbind je eenvoudig een APC Smart-UPS met het netwerk. Deze kaart stelt je in staat om de UPS op afstand te monitoren en te beheren via SNMP. Bovendien kan de UPS een shutdown signaal versturen naar meerdere fysieke en virtuele servers met behulp van de gratis meegeleverde software Powershute Network Shutdown. Voor de initiële configuratie van de netwerkinstellingen verbind je de NMC met een lokale computer via een micro-USB-kabel.
