Deze DMX kabel is bedoeld voor het doorgeven van digitale DMX512 besturingssignalen tussen lichtapparatuur. De kabel is uitgevoerd met een XLR male connector aan één zijde en een XLR female connector aan de andere zijde. Dit type kabel wordt gebruikt voor het verbinden van DMX-compatibele apparatuur zoals lichtcontrollers, dimmers en LED-verlichting in professionele lichtinstallaties. De interne geleiders zijn uitgevoerd in zuurstofvrij koper (OFC), wat zorgt voor een stabiele signaaloverdracht. De kabel heeft een karakteristieke impedantie van 100–110 Ω, wat overeenkomt met de specificaties van het DMX512 protocol. De connectoren zijn voorzien van vergulde contacten voor een betrouwbare verbinding bij veelvuldig aansluiten en loshalen.
