Deze adapter is bedoeld voor het verbinden van apparatuur met een BNC aansluiting met apparaten of kabels die gebruik maken van een tulp (RCA) aansluiting. De adapter is uitgevoerd met een BNC male connector aan één zijde en een RCA male (tulp) connector aan de andere zijde. Hierdoor kan apparatuur met een BNC aansluiting worden aangesloten op apparatuur met een RCA aansluiting. De BNC-connector beschikt over een bajonetsluiting, waardoor de stekker stevig op de aansluiting wordt vergrendeld en een stabiele verbinding ontstaat. De adapter heeft een karakteristieke impedantie van 50 Ω en komt voor bij RF- en videosignalen. De behuizing is uitgevoerd in metaal voor een stevige en duurzame constructie.
