Dit koppelstuk is bedoeld voor het verbinden van twee BNC coaxkabels met elkaar. De adapter is uitgevoerd met BNC male naar BNC male connectoren en maakt het mogelijk om twee BNC-kabels met elkaar te koppelen via een BNC-adapter of paneelconnector. De connector heeft een karakteristieke impedantie van 75 Ω, wat overeenkomt met de standaard voor videoverbindingen zoals composiet video, CCTV en SDI videoverbindingen.
