Deze vliegtuig audio-adapter, ook wel airline adapter genoemd, is bedoeld voor het aansluiten van een standaard 3,5 mm stereo koptelefoon op vliegtuig audiosystemen met twee afzonderlijke 3,5 mm mono aansluitingen. De adapter combineert twee mono audiosignalen tot één stereo uitgang, zodat zowel het linker- als rechter kanaal correct wordt weergegeven via een normale hoofdtelefoon.
