Deze converterkabel is bedoeld voor het verbinden van een microfoon met XLR aansluiting met een apparaat dat beschikt over een USB-A aansluiting. De kabel zet analoge audiosignalen van de XLR-ingang om naar een digitaal audiosignaal dat via USB kan worden verwerkt door audioapparatuur of computersystemen. De kabel beschikt over een interne analogue-to-digital converter met een resolutie tot 24 bit / 192 kHz. Hierdoor wordt het audiosignaal met een hoge samplefrequentie omgezet, wat zorgt voor een nauwkeurige digitale signaalverwerking. Voor condensatormicrofoons is de kabel voorzien van een schakelbare +48 V phantom power. Hiermee kan voedingsspanning worden geleverd aan microfoons die phantom-voeding vereisen. De versterking van het ingangssignaal bedraagt circa +30 dB. De kabel is opgebouwd uit zuurstofvrij koper (OFC) voor een stabiele signaaloverdracht. De XLR-connector beschikt over een metalen behuizing en een vergrendelmechanisme, waardoor de connector stevig vastklikt in de XLR-aansluiting.
