8BitDo controllers zijn ontworpen om zo veelzijdig mogelijk te zijn met meerdere apparaten. Zo kun je de controller eenvoudig koppelen als S-Input of D-Input apparaat via Bluetooth. Met de meegeleverde kabel kun je het zelfs gebruiken als bedrade USB-controller. 8BitDo werkt ook regelmatig de firmware bij voor uitgebreide systeemcompatibiliteit zoals Switch, Raspberry Pi en meer.
