Speciaal geschikt voor het ontbramen en reinigen van buizen, schroefdraden, moffen en cilinders. Staaldraad is het meest gangbare belegmateriaal. Borstels met het belegmateriaal staaldraad zijn bijzonder goed geschikt voor oppervlaktebewerking en voor het ontbramen. Speciale PFERD-draad heeft een hoge trek- en buigvastheid. Deze garandeert een optimale slijtage van de draad en een hoge standtijd, ook bij extreme borsteltoepassingen. Staaldraad is bestand tegen temperaturen tot 300 °C. Naast de schroefdraad beschikt deze binnenborstel over een stiftaanzet van 6 mm.
