De geïntegreerde soldeerring smelt en de krimpkous met lijm hecht zich aan de kabelisolatie. Na het verwarmen wordt de verbinder gesoldeerd, geïsoleerd, afgedicht en mechanisch ontlast. Geschikt als hoogwaardige verbinder voor afzonderlijke kabels of voor het aarden van coaxkabelafschermingen.
