Dit apparaatsnoer met IEC C7-aansluiting is bedoeld voor het aansluiten van ongeaarde elektrische apparaten met een C8-inlet op een Brits stopcontact van type G. Het snoer wordt gebruikt voor kleine elektronische apparaten zoals audioapparatuur, dvd-/blu-ray spelers, spelconsoles, radio’s en laders zonder aarding. Het snoer is uitgevoerd met een Type G male stekker (BS 1363) aan de netzijde en een IEC 60320 C7 female connector aan de apparaatzijde. De C7-connector wordt ook wel de figuur-8 aansluiting genoemd en is uitsluitend geschikt voor ongeaarde apparaten. Dit is een volledig spanningsdoorlatend netsnoer. Het snoer past uitsluitend de stekkerstandaard aan en zet geen spanning om. Let op: hoewel een Type G stekker gezekerd is tot 13 A, is de C7-aansluiting bedoeld voor laag vermogen. Gebruik dit snoer uitsluitend voor ongeaarde apparaten met een laag stroomverbruik.
