Runderorenhaar is een sterk, duurzaam en zacht haartype dat geschikt is voor alle soorten verf, vooral als je geen penseelstreken achteer wil laten of je verf verdund gebruikt. Omdat runderorenhaar een goede hoeveelheid dunne verf op kan nemen, zijn deze penselen ook geschikt voor aquarelverf en gouache.
