At last, the experiment has worked... De broers Nick en Joe runnen samen een klein luchtvaartbedrijf. Ze hebben hun zaakjes goed voor elkaar. Tenminste, tot de dag dat een routinevlucht fatale gevolgen krijgt. Het blijkt dat de lading die volgens Nick niets om 't lijf had, uit extreem gevaarlijk plutonium bestaat. Justitie trakteert hem op een warm onthaal alsof hij terroristen zou bevoorraden met de grondstof voor een atoombom. Nick is zich absoluut van geen kwaad bewust. De situatie is uitzichtloos.
