Product description
Carl, een visser wordt dood teruggevonden, verstrikt in z'n eigen netten. Hij heeft een zware hoofdwond. Werd hij vermoord? Kazuo (Rick Yune), een andere visser, wordt verdacht van de misdaad. Tijdens het onderzoek en de rechtzaak flakkeren de na-oorlogse anti-Japanse gevoelens op. Ishmael (Ethan Hawke), een lokale journalist, krijgt het zeer moeilijk wanneer hij er achter komt da zijn ex-vriendin, Hatsue (Youki Kudoh) bij de moord betrokken is. Wanneer hij de zaak verder onderzoekt, doet hij een wel erg huiveringwekkende ontdekking.
