Deze zandfilterpomp 220-240 volt zorgt voor een nog fijnere reiniging dan de reguliere patroonfilters. De werking van een zandfilter kan vergeleken worden met de natuurlijke filtering van grondwater in de duinen. Bij een zandfilterpomp wordt het water krachtig door het zand in de filter gepompt, hierdoor worden alle onzuiverheden die een grotere omvang hebben dan de zandkorrel tegengehouden. Het vuil, zoals algen, zand en ongedierte blijft achter in het zandfilter. De filtering vindt plaats in de filtertank van de pomp. Het zand dient eenmaal per 3 jaar vervangen te worden. Het filter heeft een timerfunctie, waarmee de tijd kan ingesteld worden wanneer het bad gefilterd moet worden, maar kan ook handmatig bediend worden.
