De is een ronde, veelzijdige schuilplaats van natuurlijk kurk, afkomstig van zorgvuldig geoogste kurkeiken. Vogels kunnen zich in de holle trunkhut terugtrekken of er bovenop zitten, vergelijkbaar met het gebruik van boomstammen in de natuur. De ruwe, grillige structuur verschilt per stuk en biedt afwisseling in textuur, terwijl het kurk uitnodigt tot ontdekken en knagen. Met de bijgeleverde schroef en vleugelmoer is de trunkhut eenvoudig aan de tralies van het vogelverblijf te bevestigen.
