With the new Tire Booster from Schwalbe, the installation of tubeless tires will certainly succeed. The light, handy bottle can be used at home or on the go. Mounting tubeless tires requires a strong blast of air. With this, the bead wires are quickly pressed against the rim edge, so that the tire seals well. Depending on the tire-rim combination, this is not always possible with the conventional bicycle pump, explains Peter Krischio, product manager at Schwalbe. A compressor is often present in the workshop or at a gas station. For safe and easy mounting without a compressor, Schwalbe now releases the Tire Booster, which was developed in collaboration with the British start-up company Airshot. For example, an air blast of up to eleven bar can be pumped into the tire. With that, the tire is immediately and securely on the rim and everything is evenly sealed, says Peter Krischio. The Tire Booster offers a significant advantage in tubeless mounting. With only 435 grams you can also easily take the Tire Booster with you. If you need an even greater air pressure boost, you can also use a special adapter. To do this, the valve is removed and the adapter is screwed directly onto the valve shaft, the air pressure is then applied to the maximum. And so it goes! Connect the Tire Booster to a conventional bicycle pump via the SV valve, pressurize the bottle and then install the quick valve. Immediately the air is evenly distributed, and the tires usually settle on the rim with a loud and typical popping sound.
