The Grand Prix 5000 marks the beginning of a new era of cycling. The Grand Prix 5000 is better than the Grand Prix 4000S II in every way. The Grand Prix 5000 is 12% faster due to the reduced rolling resistance, is 20% more puncture resistant and 10 grams lighter than its predecessor. In addition, the Grand Prix 5000 offers more comfort while driving. The construction of the tire consists of a 3-ply 180 TPI carcass, supplemented with a finer woven Vectran breaker and a new elastomer layer. The Active Comfort Technology ensures a comfortable ride. The Black Chili Compound is used for the tread. The shoulder of the strap has a subtle aerodynamic pattern. This pattern features an updated technology called Lazer Grip Texturing. Thanks to the tiny holes, this technology ensures better road holding in the bends. All tires are equipped with a black sidewall and are foldable. The special sidewall of the Grand Prix 5000 TL provides a direct seal and a stable fit on the rim. The Tubeless version is user-friendly to install and has a 5% lower rolling resistance and 5% better puncture protection compared to the regular version of the Grand Prix 5000. The Grand Prix 5000 TL consists of a 3-ply 180 TPI carcass and is equipped with an inner liner to make the tire tubeless.
